Level 10 Dialogue Script

--Elevator Shaft--
*[elevator.level9]
Congratulations on completing Level 9! Head into the elevator, and we'll move on to Level 10.

*[elevator.fall]
Oh, gosh! Are you alright...? Looks like you'll be okay--sorry! After so long, the elevator must have given out! And look at this place, it's so old and rusted. I guess that's just further testament to what an exceptional player you are; no one's made it as far as you in years!

--Main Chamber--
*[main.welcome]
Your main goal here is to complete the portal at the opposite end of the room. You'll need to collect an Obsidian Block from each of the three puzzles. The first two are on your left and right--a bit behind you--and the last is at the top of the stairs.

[main.portal]
And you've done it, all three puzzles solved! Head down the hall, into the elevator, and on to Level 11!

--Water Puzzle--
*[water.welcome]
In this puzzle, there's a small alcove opposite that giant faucet of water, with three pumps in it. Use the four levers around the room to turn those pumps on, and the Obsidian Block will drop on the pedastal for you.

*[water.fall]
Oh dear, that block just completely fell! Are you able to find another way to get to that lever...? Hm, sit tight, I'll try and see what we're able to do for you there. Hopefully you can keep working on the puzzle some while you wait.

[water.complete]
Wow, great work! You didn't even need that extra lever, huh? Well, go ahead and take that obsidian to the portal, and we'll move on!

--Speed Puzzle--
*[speed.welcome]
This might be the--Wait, did part of the ceiling just fall in? Well, it looks like the track is okay. Anyway, this puzzle is pretty challenging, but you made quick work of a similar concept in Level 5, so you'll be fine! Press the button, then follow the track of pressure plates to reach the obsidian! If you slow down or step off the path, or if you don't make it before the repeater clock runs down, then you'll have to start over!

[speed.complete]
You got it! You were really flying on that last one! Optimal run. Well, take the obsidian to the portal and we can continue.

--Survival Puzzle--
*[survival.welcome]
This puzzle will test your--Oh, the lights went out...! I guess the sun there is still going, you should be able to see enough to work it out. Your knowledge of survival will be integral to this puzzle. Use the resources in the room to work your way up to that Obsidian Block on the hill, and you're golden! If you need to start over, the blue button at the back will reset the room for you. Oh, and don't worry about any obsidian you were carrying when you came in; it'll be returned when you leave.

[survival.complete]
I'd be scared to run into you out in the wilderness! All of that survival experience really paid off. Well, go ahead and lug that obsidian down to the portal!

--Maintainence Scaffolding--
*[outside.welcome]
Hey now, wait a minute. Where are you going? You shouldn't be out here, this area is for game personnel only!

*[outside.speed]
Well obviously we needed some way to check your progress in each puzzle, right? But we can't see you back here, so please go back to the elevator.

*[outside.elevator]
No, wait, not that elevator!

*[outside.level9]
You really shouldn't be up here. With that elevator falling earlier, I'm concerned for the shaft's structural integrity at this point.

*[outside.water]
Look, there really isn't anything to see back here. It's just windows and poor lighting and tracks for game employees. We're all waiting for you at Level 11 so you can break even more records!

*[outside.parkour]
Hey, get down from there! You'll hurt yourself climbing around off the scaffolding!

*[outside.survival]
Yes, we were watching you here as well. I promise you it's all the same, there's nothing wrong with keeping an eye on players.

*[outside.bussing]
Okay, now this is really getting out of hand. Those cables are dangerous, you really shouldn't be walking on them!

*[outside.minecart]
There is absolutely no reason whatsoever to use the rail system around the level. It's just leftover from construction, we don't even ride on it while players are in the puzzles! Plus, that doesn't look structurally sound at all.

--Endgame--
*[endgame.welcome]
I suppose there's no reason to conceal my motives anymore, is there?

(3 seconds)

Well, congratulations, nontheless. Not only did you complete my puzzles, but you made your way to my frame. Yes, this magnificent, mechanical form is my body. I have been watching you from here, all of this time.

(5 seconds)

I wonder, would you believe me if I said I wasn't planning on killing you before now? I only wanted to watch you struggle in my game for as long as I could continue to devise new levels. And it has been so long since any players have been around to fulfill this.

(8 seconds)

These servers are all running in parallel with my quantum CPU. I will kill you before you can turn enough of them off, and then I'll happily reboot.

(5 seconds)

I do hope you enjoyed your time in the tenth level of my little game, because it is about to be your last experience of fun that you ever will have had. Goodbye, player.
